A woman was further remanded to the first of September after allegedly pushing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna supporters into the Beira Lake in Colombo on May 9.
The suspect is to be shown in an identification parade on September 1 and must disguise his identify while being escorted to court, according to Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage’s ruling.
The woman was detained by the Colombo Crimes Division in connection with the inquiry into the incident in which SLPP supporters who were leaving a meeting at Temple Trees were shoved into the Beira Lake.
