A suspect from the Wekanda was apprehended after allegedly stealing money from a member of the SLPP provincial council and pushing him into the Beira Lake.
The suspect, a 34-year-old Dematagoda resident, was detained by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
The suspect and many other people attacked the SLPP provincial council member who was riding in a bus, took all of his money, and forced him into Beira Lake.
