Showers will occasionally occur, according to the Department of Meteorology, in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Northwestern provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
At some locations in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, and Kaluthara, as well as the province of Sabaragamuwa, very significant rainfall of more than 50mm is possible.
Several locations will get rain or thundershowers during the evening or night.
The general public is respectfully asked to take the necessary precautions to reduce damages brought on by lightning and temporary, localized strong winds during thundershowers.
