Lalith Dharmasekera, president of the association, announced that the first kilometer’s cost had been raised to Rs. 120 and that the second kilometer’s fare would now be Rs. 100.

Speaking to the media, he claimed that three-wheeler drivers are currently having difficulty carrying out their professions, and as a result, the general public is also negatively impacted.

Lalith Dharmasekera pleaded for the National Transport Commission to step in and swiftly address the problems with public transportation.

The Three Wheeler Drivers’ Association said today that the three-wheeler unions have resolved to raise the prices.
